FYR Macedonia will select its song for the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest on 26th February. MKRTV announced that during a press conference, earlier today. 51 songs were submitted, 20 songs were chosen already and the running order will be decided later on.

The winner will be chosen by televoting, a backup jury is present in case of failure. Four of the nine jury members will represent MKRTV, the other jury members represent a private television network, a radio channel, OGAE Macedonia and SHPATO, the association of song writers and composers in FYR Macedonia.
