The official Eurovision Song Contest website, eurovision.tv has an interview with Sandra Kim, the only singer to win the contest for Belgium, back in 1986. Aged just 13 years old at the time, she was the youngest person to win the contest ever, a record which will be kept by her, as nowadays, a singer must be at least 16 years old to participate.

In the interview she states that she wasn't always happy to be so famous. She says, that it is still hard for her, to be recognised in Belgium and that she would have prefered a 'normal' childhood, going to school until she was 18. Sandra Kim doesn't remember much of the 'big night' on May 3rd 1986 in Bergen, as she was too young. Her winning song was commercially quite succesful, she sold about 1.4 million copies of J'aime la vie.

Sandra Kim also confirmed, that she will be in the Congratulations show on October 22nd in Copenhagen. She also performs nearly every week in Belgium and the Netherlands and visits often the Scandinavian countries when she's invited by the organisers, in relation to the Eurovision Song Contest.
