Ira Losco, runner-up in the 2002 Eurovision Song Contest, will perform on a citizen celebration in the widely unknown German town Metzingen in Baden-Württemberg. She will sing on 25th September on the Lindenplatz after 18:00 CET.

The festival will be the opening of a new place in the town. The Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg is going to be present. It will be celebrated together with Ira Losco anf five other other national and internationel music acts; Melanie C (formerly known as part of the Spice Girls), Kate Hall, US5, who are currently on top of the German single charts, Valentine and Joana Zimmer. Melanie C also performed during the 2005 German national final and Joana Zimmer performed during the German warm-up show right before the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest.

Jack White, also songwriter and producer of David Hasselhoff, Jermaine Jackson and Pia Zadora is the new producer for Ira Losco after her participation in the Eurovision Song Contest for Malta in 2002. Presumably, Ira will perform a new song, which is also said to appear on the German music market, as the Maltese singer tries to start an international career.

Ira Losco finished 2nd in the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 representing Malta with the song 7th wonder.
