This year's Making Your Mind Up runner-up Katie Price, who is engaged to pop star Peter Andre, has given birth to a baby boy. The boy, as yet unnamed, was born by Caesarean section last night and weighed 2,6 kg.

A clearly thrilled Andre spoke to reporters outside London's Portland Hospital. “I swear to God we are the happiest people in the world. There's no words that could explain what you feel at that moment when you see the baby. He's beautiful, healthy… he does look like me I have to tell you that.

Katie Price will have to spend a few days in hospital recovering as the baby was born a few weeks premature. “We were a bit scared because he wasn't supposed to be here for another three or four weeks and Katie had a few complications,” Peter Andre said.

It was the second child for Katie Price, also known as Jordan. Three years ago she gave birth to her first son Harvey. It later emerged that the son she had with footballer Dwight Yorke was blind.

Katie Price and Peter Andre got to know eachother in the reality TV show I'm a celebrity… get me out of here! in 2004. The couple announced their engagement in November last year and plans to marry later this year.

Katie Price failed in her bid to be the United Kingdom's entry for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest. With the song Not just anybody she finished second in this year's Making Your Mind Up final, won by Javine.

Esctoday.com congratulates Katie and Peter with the birth of their son.
