Eurovision Song Contest winner Helena Paparizou has reached the top spot in the Swedish single charts. After five weeks in Hitlistan, the Greek Eurovision Song Contest entry My number one has climbed from the third to the first spot this week.
That Helena Paparizou would reach the number one position in the Swedish single charts was expected. Helena Paparizou was born to Greek parents in Sweden, grew up in Sweden and scored some big hits with Antique, a group she set up with her childhood friend Niko at the age of seventeen.
Last week Helena's My number one had risen from the eleventh to the third place in the Swedish charts. This week she defeated Schnappi, dass kleine Krokodil, in the running for the number one position in Hitlistan.
Sweden awarded Helena Paparizou with their 12 points in the final of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest.
