What if sing by Dina Garipova was officially presented by Russian Channel One on news programme Vremja.

The song is a collaboration between Gabriel Alares and Joakim Björnberg (Sweden) and Leonid Gutkin (Russia).

Watch the song from the presentation below:

Dina won the first season of the Russian edition of The Voice. This is why Channel One thinks she has already proved herself worthy of representing her country on the international stage.

Dina herself says of her song: This song makes you think about how much depends on us – tender and at the same time, strong music underlines every word. I am happy that I have the honour to represent our country with this song. I hope it will touch the hearts of those who hear it.

There have been a flurry of activity about the song all day Sunday however. First, a tweet was sent out via the Twitter account of the talent show The Voice of Russia linking to the video of What if, posted on the Channel One website.

Several copies also appeared on YouTube, but these were quickly removed and eventually the link was removed from the Channel One website too. So many fans have already had a chance to see the video before the official launch that was at 21.00 Moscow time.

The Russian entry has been also immediately been subject to claims of plagiarism within the internet community. Many fans claim it has clear similarities with a song called Carried away by the British Popstars winning band Hear’say.
