The Canadian superstar and winner of the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Switzerland Céline Dion will not release her new English album before this autumn. The singer was supposed to release her new effort in English a week only after the release her French album Sans attendre back in November last year.

Entitled Water and a flame, it is the second time the release of Céline Dion’s new English album is being postponed. Following the smashing success of her new material in French, which is still standing at #2 in the French music charts and was certified Diamond for over 600,000 copies sold, a lot of TV promotion in France and the beginning of the new season of her show at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, it seems that the Québec-born diva is running out of time to promote her new English album.

To reward the patience of her international fans, Céline Dion will release her English album Water and a flame with more tracks than originally planned. A snippet of one of her new English songs can be listened to from now on however. Entitled Unfinished song the tune is part of the soundtrack of the movie A Song for Marion.

Together with the 1963 Monegasque Eurovision entrant Françoise Hardy, Céline Dion is nominated for the Best Female Artist Award at the forthcoming Victoires de la Musique (French music awards) to be held in Paris and aired live on France 2 on 8 February. The Canadian singer will appear the following day on on the Chinese national channel CCTV as one of the main guest stars of the Chinese New Year gala.
