Bad news for all delegations that requested pyrotechnics to be used during their act at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. Host broadcaster NTU informed that in order to be able to guarantee safety to all visitors in the Palats Sportu, pyrotechnical effects will not be allowed during the performances.

The decision not to allow pyrotechnics in the Palats Sportu has been made by the show manager and security manager. Due to safety restrictions in the arena and on stage, this decision was made in accordance with the Kyiv Fire Department regulations.

As a result the Norwegian representatives Wig Wam will not be allowed to use the fireworks they used during the performance of In my dreams at the Norwegian national final Melodi Grand Prix.

The Romanian act by Luminita Anghel & Sistem, which has been announced as similar to the video clip performance (pictured), might get into difficulties and the United Kingdom's Javine… she won't be allowed to touch her fire!
