The 2006 Finnish Eurovision winners Lordi will be featured in a new documentary, made by Finnish production company Illume Oy. This film will follow the band leader Mr Lordi behind the scenes for first time and will also include scenes from his childhood in Lapland as Tomi Putaansuu.

The film will follow Lordi the band from the very beginning about twenty years ago. The international project is intended to be finished by 2014, and filming has taken place in Finland and abroad. The director Antti Haase hails from the childhood neighbourhood of Tomi Putaansuu in Rovaniemi.

Mr. Lordi is a self-confessed film enthusiasts, and one of his lifetime dreams came into fruition in 2008 with the horror feature Dark floors. The film, starring the Lordi band members, did not do very well in the box office, but the DVD release is still on sale in many countries.

The band have been recording a new album in Nashville. Since winning Eurovision in 2006, the drummer Kita has left the band to start a solo career with his band Stala & So. He was replaced by Otus, who died after just a year with the band. The new drummer has not been named. In the summer of 2012 the only female member, keyboardist Awa announced she was leaving the band. Her replacement has not been introduced yet either.

The latest video from the band is from 2010:
