ORF's nightmare almost came true as Alf Poier constantly threatened to take over Global Kryner's first position in the ranking during the voting. In the end the band consisting of the six musicians, Sabine Stieger, Karl Rossmann, Christof Spörk, Anton Sauprügl, Edi Köhldorfer and Sebastian Fuchsberger could stand firm. Alf Poier received four points less than Global Kryner and has to be satisfied with a second place.

Global Kryner will represent Austria in the semifinal of the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest on 19th May in Kiev.
