Swiss singer and actress Mia Aegerter was revealed today as the third participant in the German national final 2005 by newspaper Blick. She will perform the self-composed song Alive.
Why doesn't she start for her home country? “As this decision was made in Switzerland, I was without a record contract. So this was no option for me”, Mia explained to Blick, referring to the fact that Switzerland will be represented by the Estonian girl band Vanilla Ninja instead. To perform at the German final is a “big platform for me. I start because I am allowed to present my own song, 'Alive'”.
Mia Aegerter is the third out of 12 possible participants in the German final who is known yet. The other two are Dutch singer Ellen ten Damme (song: Plattgelickt) and Villaine from Cologne. The official participants list is expected to be published end of January.
Germany 12 Points! will take place 12 March 2005 starting 20:15 CET, again in the Treptow Arena in Berlin. Last year's winner Ruslana will perform as guest star. Tickets for the final are available as of 24 January (via phone: ++49 1805 663 661), Ticket prices range from 17 to 37 Euro.
