A Spanish magazine published the final dates for the national selection Operación Triunfo.
February 25 and March 4 will be used to choose the song which will be performed as the Spanish entry in Tallinn. March 11 will be used to select one out of three participants who will perform the song. The three final candidates will be selected February 11.
The magazine also wrote that most of the songs are ballads and typically Spanish songs.
Operación Triunfo is a real rage in Spain. The viewer ratings are high and the program is very popular among the Spanish viewers. It is expected more countries will use this formula to pick a candidate for the Eurovision Song Contest. Last week, the Portuguese broadcaster RTP announced they will definately use the formula next year.
