As we reported earlier, the Belarusian representative for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev will be chosen internally among three finalists, selected during a national selection held last Saturday. The final is now available online on the webpage of the Belarusian broadcaster. Meanwhile, we can introduce you to the final competitors Polina Smolova, Angelica Agurbash and Natalia Tamelo.
Polina Smolova
Polina Smolova sings the song Smile. She started her music career at the age of 5 while attending music school and children's folk theatre Gositsa. Now she is a student at the Belarussian Culture University. Polina also is an actress and has already achieved the title of laureate of The First Republican Contest of Belarusian Folk Song “Voices of Motherland”.
Angelica Agurbash
Angelica performs the song Boys & girls. The mother of three children already managed to reach the top of the music charts. She was chosen the most beautiful woman of the country in the contest of Mrs Russia.
Natalia Tamelo
Natlia sings the song My love is sweet poison, written by Leonid Shirin and Corriana. Natalia Tamelo is a solist at the Belarusian State Concert Orchestra. She was a laureate of international and national music contests and has already recored an album entitled Wait.
In January 2005, the National Organizing Committee with the assistance of the jury will choose the song and the performer who will officially be announced as the Belarusian representative for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev.
