Polish broadcaster TVP has confirmed that a special internal jury composed of the critics and analysts of the Polish music market will choose the Polish representant for the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. The selection rules are to be approved by the end of this year. The name of the Polish representative will be revealed at the end of January 2005.

As we reported earlier, several well-known Swedish composers are said to write songs for the Polish selection. TVP would then look out for an artist to perform one of those songs. The internal selection has come back to Poland after two successful national selections, which were watched by over eight million Poles.

TVP also confirmed that in 2005 both the final and the qualifier round of the Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcast in Poland. According to the EBU rules every national broadcaster is obliged to air both contests. This year Poland, France and Russia refused broadcasting the semifinal.
