Gérald Brice-Viret, Deputy Director of Monegasque broadcaster TMC confirmed today that Télé Monte Carlo will participate at next years Eurovision Song Contest that will take place in Kiev.

TMC informed us that the decision on a participation of Monaco in Kiev has been made: Monaco will participate at next years Eurovision Song Contest! In addition, Gérald Brice-Viret appointed Philippe Bosco as the Monegasque delegation leader. A final decision on the selection procedure for the song and the singer of the 2005 Monegasque entry has not been made yet.

Monaco returned to the Eurovision Song Contest this year in Istanbul after they hadn't participated for a period of 24 years. With Notre planète, the Monegasque representative Märyon however wasn't successful and ended only 19th in the qualifier round.
