Michal Wisniewski, the former leader of Ich Troje, that reached the 7th place for Poland in at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 with the song Keine Grenzen, has announced that he is likely to take part in the Austrian preselections for next year's contest.

Michal Wisniewski, one of the most popular Polish pop-singers who already took part in the German preselections too before representing his native country Poland, is starting a new chapter in his career.

As his band Ich Troje split up several months ago, Wisniewski will now concentrate on promoting himself and his wife. Wisniewski managed to encourage his wife, known as Mandaryna, to start a music career. Mandaryna already released one single in Poland.

Both Michal Wisniewski and his wife think about representing a foreign country at next year's Eurovision Song Contest. Wisniewski would like to represent Austria but also takes Malta and Ukraine into consideration.

Michal Wisniewski and Ich Troje attained the second best result at the Eurovision Song Contest for Poland after Edyta Gorniak, who reached second place in 1994.
