Two years after her desastrous 21st place in the Eurovision Song Contest with the Siegel-written German entry I can't live without music, blind singer Corinna May returns to the music scene: she sings two of the songs of the German soundtrack to the latest Walt Disney movie, Home on the range, which hits German movie screens on 2 September (as Die Kühe sind los).

According to German tabloid Bild, Corinna outrivaled other female singers like Yvonne Catterfeld and Jeanette Biedermann (German final 1999) for the task of singing the two songs Unsere Farm (Our farm) and Ob die Sonne je wieder scheint (Will the sun ever shine again), performed by kd Lang and Bonnie Riatt on the original (American) soundtrack. Miss May said to Bild that she is “very happy about that new chance” and that, as a child, she often went to the cinema when a new Walt Disney movie was on, accompagnied by friends who told her what was happening on the screen.

A new Corinna May album is scheduled for release in September. It will comprise a wide stylistic variety of songs in German, as stated on her website.
