Sakis Rouvas and Sertab Erener will give a joint concert tomorrow, Wednesday 7th July, in Istanbul. The concert comes as a result of the two popular artists recent meeting during the Eurovision Song Contest last May and will be broadcast live in Greece by commercial TV channel Alpha.

After Sertab Erener brought the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest to Istanbul, Sakis Rouvas was there to represent Greece with the song Shake it. Tomorrow the 2 singers will meet again for a joint concert in Istanbul.

Sakis Rouvas has been introduced to the Turkish public for the first time in 1997 when he sang a duet with Turkish singer Burak Kut. This years' performance of the Greek entry Shake It received good reviews and a warm welcome in Turkey as well. On the other hand, Sertab Erener had already been a familiar name in Greece by a previous collaboration with Mando, the Greek entrant in 2003, and an absolute smash hit with her winning Everyway that I can last summer.

The announcement of the two artists joint concert was therefore greeted with excitement and is expected to attract large audiences in both sides of the Aegean, since the Greeks will also have the chance to tune in to Alpha TV and watch the live broadcast at 21.00 CET.
