Fame-star Jessica Andersson is tired of all rumours about her and Magnus Bäcklund going seperate ways. Several Swedish news papers recently wrote the end of Fame was near. The 2003 Swedish Eurovision Song Contest representatives are not going to split up! On the contrary they are currently working on a new Fame album.

Jessica Andersson, the female half of Fame, reacts on the rumours about her and Magnus Bäcklund quitting with Fame. The rumours recently popped up in several Swedish news papers. Fame represented Sweden at the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest with Give me your love and reached the final of Melodifestivalen 2004 with Vindarna vänder oss.

“I am tired of all rumours”, says Andersson to Swedish news paper Expressen, “It is not true! I have heard these rumours for quite some time now and there is absolutely no truth about it. It feels strange and unpleasant”.

A reason for the rumours popping up could be the many solo appearances Jessica and Magnus are making. Both seperately recorded a song for the album What a wonderful world by gospel choir Joybells, an album on which other former Melodifestivalen participants like LaGaylia Frazier, Sahlene and Nanne Grönvall feature as well. “People have to believe and realize we are doing solo jobs all the time, but that doesn't mean we are splitting up”, adds Andersson.

No doubt anymore that Fame definitely goes on. Jessica and Magnus are even working on Fame's new album that should sound different than their first one.
