The German broadcaster NDR officially announced the 14 participants for the Eurovision Grand Prix. As expected, the Weather Girls, Joy Fleming and the Kelly Family are selected among others.
Nino de Angelo participated in the contest of 1989 with the song 'Flieger'. Ireen Sheer, who will perform together with Berhard Brink, participated 3 times before.
The Weather Girls had a big hit in 1982 with 'It's raining men', recently performed by Gery Halliwel. Joy Fleming already participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1975 with the song 'Ein Lied kann eine Brücke sein'. She ended up at the 17th place.
The last well-known participant is the Kelly Family. Their song, titles 'I wanna Beloved', brought confusion among fans because an earlier song of the Family was named 'I wanna be loved'. It's not sure yet if we're speaking about the same song, but chances are very small.
