Sweden gave the very last press conference on the sixth and final day. Lena Philipsson performed It hurts as well as telling of her struggle to the Eurovision Song Contest.

Lena Philipsson told journalists: “I first participated in 1986 and tried my chance in 1987 and 1988. Finally I won this year”. She also revealed that she is currently recording an album in Swedish due for release this autumn. She laughed when asked what her reaction to other countries would be if she were to win. Earlier, Lena said she has no intention to launch an international career.
