The artist selected to represent Monaco at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest is most likely Marion! The almost 17 year-old will sing Prenez soin de notre planète, according to our colleagues of the website Eurovision-fr.net. The news has not yet been confirmed officially towards esctoday.com by TMC sources.
Marion comes from La Seyne Sur Mer in southern France. She was introduced to Prince Albert in a special reception given in the bar Stars'N'Bars in Monte Carlo.
Broadcaster TMC picked 21 candidates out of 500 from which they received an application form. Only girls were allowed to participate and the other condition was that she lived in Monaco, Southern France or Corsica. The 21 candidates had to sing in front of a jury last Saturday from 11:00 CET until 19:00 CET.
TMC will broadcast two special programs:
A 52 minutes show to introduced Marion to the TMC viewers in the beginning of March
A 3-hour show about the whole casting which will be diffused in night time sometimes after
TMC can be watched on antenna in Southern France, and on cable network everywhere in France.
