Huge interest Swedish Melodifestivalen 2004

In Sweden there's a hugh interest for the upcoming national selection Melodifestivalen 2004. Nearly 60,000 tickets have been sold for the four semifinals, the final and the rehearsals.

Only a few unsold seats can be found at this moment in the Scandinavium Arena in Gothenburg which can seat 10,000 people. Baccara 2000 (Mayte Mateus & Christina Sevilla) will peform in Gothenburg with Soy tu Venus por esta noche and they arrive in Sweden from Mallorca next Tuesday.

The first semfinal takes place tonight in Karlstad and will be watched by 6,000 people live in the Arena Löfbergs Lila-hallen. Information about the participants can be found here!

Tonights show, which will be broadcasted live on the internet, will be hosted by Ola Lindholm and Peter Settman, assisted by Charlotte Nilsson Perrelli (Eurovision Song Contest 1999). The outcoming will be decided by televoting.
