Israeli broadcaster IBA has decided to postpone David's Dor's private Kdam-Eurovision. Originally scheduled for this Thursday, the new date is February 5th.

Israeli website ynet.co.il reports today that David D'Or's private pre-selection, which was to be broadcasted this Thursday, is now rescheduled for NEXT Thursday, February 5th.

This change comes due to major national event which will be taking place, unexpectedly, at the same time the show was planned to be broadcasted: The return home of captive Israeli soldiers from Lebanon, which was highly anticipated over the last three years. Wether these soldiers are dead or alive- it will not be truely known until their plane lands on Israeli grounds.

IBA's spokesman said to ynet.co.il: 'The unexpected evet is of the highest national priority. The Israeli nation will be united with the soldiers families. The IBA is the national broadcaster and we do not intend on having this kind of entertainment in times of sorrow. Therefore, the pre-selection will be postponed to next week, with hunderds of dancers taking part in it'.

Yesterday, the IBA announced that Merav Miller (picture) will present the pre-selection show. Miller is quite unfamiliar to IBA's viewers, being a news bulletins presenter.
