Arno Kolenbrander got the first wildcard for the fifth wildcard semifinal of the Nationaal Songfestival 2004. Nance announced that during Op weg naar het songfestival, the weekly song contest background programme at the Dutch television.

With The story of my life, written and composed by Johnny Logan, Arno couldn't convince the jury and the televoting audience during last Thursday's semifinal. Together with Charly he was favourite for the wildcard. To decide upon the wildcards, the Dutch audience is asked to vote for their favorite on the internet or by televote and sms.

The fifth semifinal, which will be the so called “Wildcard Round“, will be held on 19 February.
