The Icelandic entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 has finally been chosen by the Icelandic broadcaster, RÚV.

Esctoday.com has recently spoken with Jóhanna Jóhannsdóttir of RÚV, eagerly awaiting news of the jury's final decision on who is to represent Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004. Well, at last she announced to us that the jury had come down to a conclusion and the song and performer which are to represent Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest this year are known.

Jóhanna seemed endlessly eager to announce the names of the artists to esctoday.com, but then hestitated and explained: “We're currently making contract agreements with the artists and other people which will be involved in the process of making the final version of the entry. Once these agreements have been finalized, we'll gladly announce the names of the artists to you”. Pleased with the media attention RÚV is getting these days, Jóhanna added that anticipation of this kind could be nothing less than great news for the Icelandic broadcaster.

We'll keep you updated, almost live from Iceland!
