The Swedish broadcaster SVT announced the 32 songs for Melodifestivalen 2002 at 12:00 this afternoon.

SVT planned 4 preselections and one national final. The new website about the festival gives information about the preselection, the host cities and the opportunity to buy tickets.

16 songs are Swedish, 14 are English and two songs contain Spanish lyrics. The songs were announced by producer Svante Stockelius and Tomas G:son, who send in 4 songs on his name.
