Slovenian EMA plans are made

The Slovenian national selection (EMA 2002) will be held in mid-February.

Aleksander Radic of RTVSLO sayed, “It will be organised in a similar way to last year, with between twenty and twenty-two songs on the Friday, shortlisted to between ten and twelve in the final on Saturday.

RTVSLO have now confirmed that the 2002 event will take place on February 15 and 16 next year.

Songs to be considered were required before October 25 and the songs which will compete will be announced on December 7 in a press conference, the performers for each song will be present at the announcement.

The rules state that all the composers and authors have to be Slovenian citizens and all songs must be sung in one of the official languages of Republic Slovenia (Slovenian or one of the two minority languages of Italian or Hungarian.)
