360 songs have been submitted for Eurosong 2004, the Belgian national final, organised by Flemish broadcaster VRT. 28 of them have been selected to compete in 4 rounds for a ticket to the final on 15th February. The winner of the final will represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 in Istanbul. Belgium participates in the Eurovision final on 15th May.

The list is a mixture of new talent and famous Flemish singers. The most remarkable are two former Eurovision Song Contest participants who both offered Belgium a last place: Nicole and Hugo with Baby, baby in 1973 and Barbara Dex with Iemand als jij in 1993.

With Natalia (Idols runner-up) and Spring, Eurosong 2004 will be featuring two recent number ones of the Flemish single charts. Other participants to look forward to are: Xandee, partner of Sergio (2002) in Touch of Joy, Kurt, brother of famous Flemish singer Helmut Lotti and Biba Binoche, a Big Brother and Playboy star.
