14-year-old Roel won the Dutch national final for the first Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which took place tonight in Amsterdam. His song Mijn ogen zeggen alles (My eyes say everything) got the maximum points from the televoting jury and the professional's jury.

Before the voting, Roel told Angela Groothuizen, host of the show, that his song is about a paralized man who couldn't do anything but move his eyes. By moving his eyes, he speaks to the world.

Other favorites were Tom and Valery, but after Esther Hart came to read the televoting results it was clear Roel got the maximum points.

Roel will represent The Netherlands at the first Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in November in the Danish capital Copenhagen.
