According to our partner site eurovision-greece, the Greek broadcaster, ERT, is planning to put together a special talent show for the selection of the entry that will represent Greece in the 49th Eurovision Song Contest. It was recently revealed that the title of the show is going to be Mia Phoni gia tin Europi ( A Voice for Europe).

A Voice For Europe will apply to new artists. There will be weekly heats, where the contestants will perform well-known songs. The winner of each heat, as jointly voted by the televiewers and a special jury, will be getting through to the final. There will be a total of ten finalists.

As far as the song is concerned, it is said that a known composer will write ten songs for the final. These will be performed by the finalists and the song that will eventually make it to the Eurovision Song Contest will be selected through televoting.

Although the details of the show have not been finalised, the programme is expected to be produced by Fremantle Hellas and broadcast on Friday evenings by NET, the second channel of ERT.
