According to the private broadcasting company Armenia TV, the country will participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, as the German branch of the Eurovision fanclub OGAE reports.

Although the station, which broadcasts not only in Armenia itself, but to emigrants all over Europe via satellite, is not a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), it claims to be appointed by the EBU to participate in next year's contest. The broadcaster already competed in the Eurovision Young Dancers Contest 2003. We are now awaiting an official EBU statement on this claim.

The former Sovjet country Armenia borders with Turkey, where the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in 2004.
