They sent their biggest star – Olexandr Ponomariov (picture) – and were rewarded with a disappointing 14th place. As a result, this year's newcomers to the Eurovision Song Contest, the Ukraine, is considering changes in their preselection format, as OGAE Germany reports.

Ponomariov was directly nominated. Now a national final with several participants is taken into consideration for 2004, but final decisions are to be made in September.
