It was announced that Hungary will select its Eurovision representative internally. A panel consisting of several people involved in the local music industry, was made responsible for choosing the country's artist and song. The Hungarian Eurovision entry will be presented during a press conference to be held at MTV's headquarters, on March 9th.

Hungary is one of the latest countries to announce its representative at this year's Eurovision Song Contest. Although the Hungarian National Television (MTV) was unsure about its participation, they nevertheless decided to apply for this year's contest.

It was revealed that Hungary will conduct an internal selection in order to determine its Eurovision hopefuls. Various names were already rumoured by the local press and it looks like Wolf Kati is the runaway favourite to represent the landlocked country in Germany.

A press conference will kick off at MTV's headquarters in Budapest on March 9th at 11:00. Hungary's official representative in Dusseldorf is expected to be presented to the attending mass-media who will get to know MTV's plans for this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

Hungary decided to return to Europe's favourite music show after one year of absence. Their last Eurovision entry was performed during the second semi final of the 2009 edition of the contest. It was Zoli Adok who placed 15th with his poppysong entitled Dance with me.

Hungary will perform in the first semi final of this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
