A Friend in London for Denmark

The group A Friend in London won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, thus they will represent Denmark in the next Eurovision Song Contest. In Dusseldorf the rock band will sing the song New Tomorrow after winning the show contested by 10 acts.

The Danish selection proved to be exciting yet another year as four acts qualified to the super-final stage and went head to head to win the ticket to Germany. A Friend in London won the public vote. The group is a four piece band from Vostrup, Denmark. Three years ago the band won the European final of Bodog Million Dollar Battle of the Bands. A year later they toured Canada.

In the end of the show last year's Danish representatives Chanée & N'evergreen handed the trophy to the new winners of the Danish final. This year's Danish entry is penned by The song is written by Lise Cabble and Jakob Glæsner. A Friend in London will participate in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 12th May.
