Today: Georgia decides for Düsseldorf

Georgia will select its entry for the next Eurovision Song Contest. The national final will be contested by seven acts and one of them will represent the Caucasus country in the first semi-final to be held on 10th May in Düsseldorf.

The show

The national final will take place in the capital Tbilisi and will be broadcast on Channel One (Georgian national TV station) at 15:30 CET (18:30 local time). The winner will be selected by a mixture of a professional jury vote and tele-voting. Originally ten songs were in the run to the ticket to Düsseldorf but three songs were withdrawn. The latest withdrawal came from Tako Gachechiladze who refused to sing due to health problems.
