Czech Republic: Mikolas Josef to perform at MAD VMA 2018 in Athens

Summer has well and truly begun and our beloved Eurostars have kicked off their tours around Europe, following their success at this year’s Eurovision in Lisbon. After giving the Czech Republic their best result in the contest since their debut in 2007, Mikolas Josef is now getting ready to take again to the stage, this time on Greek ground!

He doesn’t… lie to us!

The rumors were eventually confirmed! The famous Czech singer and model has announced that he will fly to Greece in order to attend the biggest music annual event in the country, the MAD Video Music Awards 2018. As with every year, the show is going to reward the song and the artists who have stood out in the Greek music scene over the previous year, according to the public’s opinion.

Mikolas shared the news via his official Instagram account, even mentioning that he has been in the studio all week, recording “his new stuff”. Is he preparing any surprises for the show too? Stay tuned as we will find out in a couple of days!

The 2018 event is all set to take place on Wednesday 27 June at the Faliro Sports Pavilion Arena in Athens. Other Eurostars that will be performing on stage are Eleni Foureira (Cyprus 2018), Helena Paparizou (Greece 2001 & 2005) and Demy (Greece 2017). Additionally, several former Greek national final competitors will also be there for the awards’ battle, as well as to give their special performances of their recent hits. These are Peggy Zina (NF 2002), Tamta (NF 2007) and the boy band Melisses (NF 2010).

Representing the Czech Republic, Mikolas Josef took part at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, coming 6th in the final with a total of 281 points. Below is his Grand Final appearance at the Altice Arena:
