In a private ceremony with family and friends Michael and Katharina tied the knot.

Needless to say, Michael might have received a respectable 4th place at Eurovision 2018’s Grand Final, to Katharina he is definitely number one! And there is more happiness awaiting the newly wed couple, as they are expecting their first baby together.

ESCToday congratulates Michael and Katharina and wishes them happiness, health and a long lucky life together!

Eurovision 2018 success

Singer-songwriter and YouTube-star Michael Schulte represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. With his heartfelt ballad You let me walk alone, inspired by the passing away of his father, the artist ultimately reached an honourable 4th place in the Grand Final, receiving 340 points.

You let me walk alone became one of the most prominent commercial successes following Eurovision 2018, charting throughout Europe, including in Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain and Switzerland, and of course in his native Germany.

The song is especially noted in the Netherlands where You let me walk alone receives considerable airplay and holds the number 1 position in the Q25 music chart of popular radio station Qmusic for the third consecutive week, surpassing international stars such as Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran and Jason Mraz.
