The Georgian national broadcaster has announced that the Georgian 2011 Eurovision national final will be held on Saturday the 19th of February. GPB has also revealed the names of the 10 lucky candidates that will compete for the golden ticket to Düsseldorf.
A total of50 acts applied to participate in the Georgian national final, and the lucky 10 were picked by a specially-formed jury.
The line-up is as follows:
1. Salome Korkotashvili
2. Nini Shermadini
3. Tako Gachechiladze
4. Boris Bedia
5. Keti Orjonikidze
6. Temo Sajaia
7. Group “Eldrine”
8. Group “Sweet Pills”
9. Dito Lagvilava & Group “November”
10. The Georgians
The song-titles and composers will be revealed at a later date. TheGeorgian national final will take place on the 19th of February and will be shown live on GPB's main channel. Georgia was drawn to participate in the first Semi-Final of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest which will take place on the 10th of May.
