LIVE

1. Mika – Angely

The first performance of the show is an Eastern Europeanballad. The staging elements consist of vertical mirrors and fourbacking dancers dressed as angels. Mika is also wearing a white dress. This song is lacking strength, although Mika's vocals are good. The overall impression is average.

2. Ivan Berezhovski – Ave Maria

A power ballad from Ivan Berezhovski. Dark staging, the song seems to have pleased the juries. Songs with operatic elements have done irregularly in Eurovision, but it seems unlikely that Ivan will become the next Ukrainian representative.

3. Shanis – Tsvetok

The beginning of Chanise's song is symphonic, with good vocals from the female singer, who is surrounded by three male dancers. The entry is a beautiful ballad, with a magic touch, but it is nothing we haven't seen yet. The overall impression could be better.

4. Zaklopky- Superhero

The fourth song of the afternoon has some eighties flavour, very poppy, with a little bit of the Lady Gaga style. The group shows great coordination, although their vocals could be improved.

5. Alyona Korneeva – Why did I say goodbye

Alyona's entry is a pop song, with a slow beginning, speeding up soon. It is definitely the strongest proposal so far. Alyona dominates the stage, with powerful vocals and sense of rhythm. This could easily be a qualifier.

6. Christina Kim – Victim of my love

Christina, who has oriental roots, is all dressing in black leather. The song is clearly inspired in other similar American pop-rap compositions and in the country's only winner of Eurovision, Ruslana.Four male dancers accompany her on stage. Average vocals, the overall impression is below expectations.

7. Denis Povaly – Aces high

Denis wears the most original and original outfit. All dressed in blach, with a military cap, kitchen gloveand raincoat. Not much to say about the song, American pop-style, average entry, definitely not the winner of the competition.

8. Anastasiya Prihodko – Action

Time for the hot favourite of the Ukrainian national selection for Eurovision 2011. Anastasiya has clearly been tipped as next representative of Ukraine in Düsseldorf. The song is powerful, original, and the singer conveys a feeling of dominance over the stage. Electronic sounds, and good vocals which is not strange in Anastasiya. The jury have enjoyed this performance, judging by their faces and gestures.

This concludes tonight's performances.

THE JURY DECIDED: ALYONA, ANASTASIYA PRIHODKO, SHANIS, DENIS POVALYAND MIKA NEWTON PROCEED TO THE FINAL

The non-qualifying entries will go through a televoting round in order to rescue one of them for the final.
