Two acts that took part in Eurovision in 2007 have decided to give it another go and apply again this year. We are talking about Denmark's DQ and Romania's Todomondo. But they are not bidding to represent their respective countries, but Switzerland. They both have uploaded their entries to the Swiss selection's website. Mariella Farré, who represented the country in 1983 and 1985, is back as well.
DQ represented Denmark in 2007 with the song Drama queen. Peter Andersen's alter ego came 19th in the semifinal that year thus failing to qualify for the final. This time, DQ is entering the Swiss selection Die grosse Entscheidungs Show together with Auf Hi'Dee. Their song is entitled Take my heart. You can listen to it here .
Also Todomondo, the band that represented Romania in Helsinki, are bidding for Switzerland this year. In 2007, their multilingual proposal called Liubi, liubi, I love you did qualify for the final, where they landed on 13th place. They try their luck again this year with the song Caliente ('hot' in Spanish). The song is available to be listened to here .
Mariella Farré represented Switzerland twice in the past: in 1983 with Io così non ci sto and in 1985 singing Piano piano. She placed 15th and 12th respectively. This year she is back again and with her entry Should I she is ready to represent the country for the third time. You can listen to it here .
On October 30th, the Swiss broadcaster SF is closing the deadline to submit entries. The voting will start on November 1st at 12:00 CET. On December 11th, the finalist songs will be presented.
