The Romanian national television, TVR, announced yesterday all the details regarding this years national selection. As it seems, the Romanians will celebrate the New Year with champagne and Eurovision.

TVR announced yesterday that the Romanian national final will take place on the 31st December. Yesterday, out of the blue, on the official site of the Romanian national television was published the 2011 regulation. Everything remains almost the same, but the most important change of all is that authors from other countries may and can submit songs for the national final as long as one of the authors or lyricists or artists has Romanian citizenship.

These are the dates for the Romanian selection for Eurovision 2011:

1.10.2010 – 5.11.2010 Submissions of the songs
8.11.2010 Opening and checking envelops
9-10.11.2010 Prevalidation by the puclic notary
10-14.11.2010 Send Recomendations to authors to change the artists
15.11.2010 Posting songs on site
6-30.12.2010 Promotion of the songs
31.12.2010 National final

There are no changes in the regulations, remaining the same like last year. The Eurovison started for good for Romania so all the Romanian authors must now hurry up in case they didnt know that this year some serious changes were about to be done.
