Belgium: Blanche to debut at festival Les Francofolies de Spa 2018

Belgian Eurostar Blanche will take to the stage at the 25th anniversary edition of the Francofolies de Spa festival in Spa.

Festival Les Francofolies in Spa, Belgium, is getting ready for its 25th edition and will be presenting an entertaining line-up. Belgian Eurovision 2017 representative Blanche, whose artistic career is flourishing, will make her debut at the festival, performing for the first time at this popular francophone event.

Blanche, who recently won various prestigious (inter-)national awards including an EBBA (European Boarder Breakers Award), D6bels (French-Belgian, Walloon) and MIA Awards (Dutch-Belgian, Flemish), joins Léa Paci, Ozark Henry, Typh Barrow, Vianney and many other artists on the Francofolies stage.

Les Francofolies de Spa started in 1994 as the successor of the Festival International de la Chanson Française, highlighting French-language music, and took its name in honour of the festival Les Francofolies de La Rochelle, France. Les Francofolies de Spa is one of the largest and most popular music festivals in Belgium.

Les Francofolies de Spa 2018 will take place in Spa at Parc de 7 Heures & Place Royale between 19 and 22 July 2018.

Blanche (real name Ellie Delvaux, Brussels, 1999) represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

With her entry City lights, a dark electro-pop song, she eventually reached an honourable 4th place in the Grand Final, receiving 363 points.

City lights became a huge hit in Belgium and abroad.
