The Slovenian representative from 2001, Nuša Derenda, has released a new single, entitled Naj mi dež napolni dlan (Let the rain fill my palm).

Naj mi dež napolni dlanNuša Derenda’s latest single to date, quickly went viral in Slovenia, clocking up 17,000 views in less than 24 hours.

The song, whose music video was released earlier this month on the 8 January, was written by Maj Vlašič and the lyrics are by Tina Muc. The video was produced by Niko Karo.

Speaking of her newest release, Derenda revealed:

I recorded a new video with director Nick Karo (Karo Media), with whom we already collaborated. My son Matevž and soprano Klaro Koprivec also perform in the video, with which they also perform in Vesna music, while the older couple are my friends Zina and Tomaž Rodman. We spotted the location in probably the rainiest week of December, exactly with the title of the song, but the director still wanted more rain, so we were helped by the firefighters from Dravlje, for which I sincerely thank them.
