This October sees the return of the duo twin band TWiiNS with the release of their new pop entry Yes it is!. The twin sisters Daniela and Veronika Nízlová had represented their country Slovakia at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf and have been enjoying high popularity since.

One more successful step

The release of this new song from TWiiNS along with its music video marks a Slovak-Israeli collaboration, as the producer is Israeli. As Daniela herself has stated, there were some hesitations prior to the release of the song, because, as they say, it gets out of their so far released dance entries.

The shooting for the video clip took place in Hungary and Austria, under very demanding conditions, due to the very high temperatures around. However, the result seems that it was worth it. The two sisters are shown to walk, run and sing in the countryside together with a cute white dog, which was borrowed from their best friend Majky.

The video was released a few days before on their official YouTube channel and you could watch it here:

TWiiNS at Eurovision

The public broadcaster of Slovakia RTVS had internally selected the sister band TWiiNS to represent them at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song I’m still alive. The songwriters were Bryan Todd, Sandra Nordstrom and Brano Jancich. This was their first Eurovision entry not to be performed in their native language, Slovak.

Despite a very good performance, TWiiNS didn’t progress to the Grand Final, coming 13th in the second semi-final. However, the contest gave them the opportunity to become quite recognizable and opened the door to big collaborations, such as featuring the American rapper Flo Rida in the song One night stand in 2014.
