Vania Fernandes reacts on nomination for Song of the Decade

Vania Fernandes reacted on Senhora do mar being nominated in the Song of the decade contest. She feels very happy for the recognition the song still gets and for the all the support the fans have given her.

Portugal was represented at the poll by the 2008 entry Senhora do mar. From all the Portuguese songs of this decade it won with 52.3% of the votes cast on the website in the first round. In the final stage Vânia ranked 12th among 24 songs.

Vânia reacts on this nominationm saying: "It is for people like you (the fans) that the song is what it is and has gone so far". She feels the song represents Portugal and thanks all the support she has been given.

Senhora do mar was composed by Andrej Babic with lyrics by Carlos Coelho. Vânia Fernandes finished 13th in the final.
