Singer Robin Bengtsson is one of the 12 participants that will contend the Swedish ticket to the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest. On Saturday 11 March, the Melodifestivalen 2017 Grand Final is taking place at the Friends Arena in Stockholm and Robin is in the process with finalising rehearsals, as every contestant.

Before the Grand Final evening, the Swedish national broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT) revealed some information about his implementation. During his performance on stage, there are 5 treadmills where he and his four dancers pretend to walk on.

The first part of the performance happens “backstage” with a small distance away from the main stage. Robin is only visible to his dancers on the sidelines and fun dancing ensues, but soon they all get on stage. The choreography of the 5 men then is more than impressive.

Furthermore, because Melodifestivalen is a family event there were a lot of complaints for the lyrics of the song, it is quite possible the word “fucking” that is constantly repeated in the song to be replaced by “freaking”. According to Robin, that could get him confused.

Melodifestivalen 2017 is about to determine the 57th Swedish entry to Eurovision. Sweden has been drawn to compete in the first half of the first semi-final evening on 9 May. The 62nd Eurovision Song Contest is going to take place on 9, 11 and 13 May in Kyiv, Ukraine.
