CT, the Czech national broadcaster has announced today that Martina Bárta will represent the Czech Republic at the forthcoming 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv next May.

Martina Bárta is a well known in her homeland and in Germany. She was selected via an internal selection in order to represent her country in Eurovsion. The 2017 Czech entry along with its official videoclip will be released in due course.

The Czech Republic is a young country at the Eurovision Song Contest, it debuted in the competition in 2007 with Kabat and is yet to win the event. 2017 will see the country’s 6th Eurovision participation.

The Eurovision 2017 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv.
