Spain’s Daniel Diges performed songs from his new album at one of Madrid’s most prestigious venues last night.

The singer released his fourth studio album Calle Broadway last November, and last week, fans were delighted to see him sing songs from at Madrid’s Isabel la Católica theatre.

Calle Broadway sees Daniel reprise songs from the many musicals in which he has appeared during his successful and varied career, such as Les Miserables, Mamma Mia and We Will Rock You. The album also contains numbers from musicals such as West Side Story, The Phantom of the Opera and Cats.

It was recorded in Madrid and mastered in New York by Vlado Meller, who has worked with Celine Dion, Michael Buble, Natalie Cole, and others.

Daniel is perhaps most known to audiences outside Spain for having represented the country at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010. His performance of Algo pequeñito during the live grand final in Oslo was disrupted by the stage-invader Jimmy Jump, and Daniel finished in 15th place with 68 points.

In 2015, he released the single Te veo, written by Spain’s 2014 representative, Ruth Lorenzo.
