TU, the Ukrainian national broadcaster has confirmed today that Odessa is the fourth city to officially apply to host the forthcoming 2017 Eurovision Song Contest.
Preparations in Ukraine for Eurovision 2017 are in full swing as the country gears up to welcome to Eurovision bandwagon next year.
Odessa thus joins Kyiv, Dnipro , Lviv in the list of Ukrainian cities that have officially applied to host the 2017 ESC.
The complete list of bidding cities that have applied to host the 2017 ESC will be revealed by NTU on 8 July after 18:00 local time.
Odessa is Ukraine’s 3rd largest city and lies in the south of the country on the Black Sea. It is well-known for its port and beautiful beaches.
The 2017 Eurovision host city bidding race kicked off on 24 June and will conclude on 1 August, it will consist of 4 stages. Cities wishing to officially bid to host the 2017 ESC edition can officially apply until 8 July.
Bidding cities have to comply with the rules and regulations of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest and the requirements to host the event.
The preliminary dates for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest have been set on 9, 11 and 13 May.
